Their hopes before first plasma. - Does say "ITER also runs a fusion reactor based in Russia which is four-times the size of EAST." ! - Rod57 (talk) 12:54, 15 February 2016 (UTC)[reply]

What plasma facing materials[edit]

The article could mention which plasma facing materials are used in EAST. — Preceding unsigned comment added by 134.94.244.204 (talk) 08:59, 20 October 2014 (UTC)[reply]

Need more on Long pulses[edit]

How will it achieve such long pulses ? The Non-inductive current drive ? Need more on that. - Rod57 (talk) 13:12, 15 December 2015 (UTC)[reply]

External links modified[edit]

Hello fellow Wikipedians,

I have just added archive links to one external link on EAST. Please take a moment to review my edit. If necessary, add {{cbignore}} after the link to keep me from modifying it. Alternatively, you can add {{nobots|deny=InternetArchiveBot}} to keep me off the page altogether. I made the following changes:

checked - looks ok based on URL, original now 404. but archive is of spanish so not ideal - Rod57 (talk) 13:14, 15 February 2016 (UTC)[reply]
Replaced it with a ref in english - perhaps this entire section could be deleted ? - Rod57 (talk) 14:14, 15 February 2016 (UTC)[reply]

What other results since 2006[edit]

eg when did they achieve 1MA currents, when did they achieve H-mode for 6.4 sec - what densities are they reporting ? - Rod57 (talk) 12:57, 15 February 2016 (UTC)[reply]

Other parameters of the 102 second plasma shot[edit]

Looking at the screen shot on That's cute, Germany – China shows the world how fusion is done "shot 59892" it seems to show a current of 400kA for 100secs and a density of about 2.4 x 1018/m3 with slowly increasing temperature. Maybe not H-mode or they would have claimed that. Looks like deliberate reduction of plasma current - possibly some component was overheating. - Rod57 (talk) 13:36, 15 February 2016 (UTC)[reply]

NB: Tore Supra reported a 6.5 minute plasma in 2003 - maybe cooler or less dense ? - Rod57 (talk) 14:11, 15 February 2016 (UTC)[reply]
