Easy, cowboy. I created this page less than 10 minutes ago. I haven't even had a chance to add all the information to it yet. Adding a quick deletion tag to it so quickly after it's been created seems a little, oh, I guess I'd have to say overeager. Jeffrey McManus (talk) 02:39, 22 November 2009 (UTC)[reply]

The reason it was tagged is because you provided no reliable, indepedent source material about Expert Labs, and (more importantly) haven't established why it is notable. Note that being headed by Anil Dash and being related to the AAAS isn't really enough, since notability isn't inherited from other people or organizations as far as Wikipedia is concerned. The article needs to clearly assert why something is notable, or else it will be deleted under criteria for speedy deletion. Steven Walling 03:14, 22 November 2009 (UTC)[reply]
You completely missed my point, which is that it's inappropriate to lunge onto the delete button within minutes after an article is created. 03:24, 22 November 2009 (UTC) —Preceding unsigned comment added by Jeffreymcmanus (talkcontribs)
I ignored your point because it's irrelevant. The purpose of speedy deletion is to quickly get rid of articles that do not meet our most basic requirements. Steven Walling 03:59, 22 November 2009 (UTC)[reply]

I believe the organization is notable, currently due to the involvement of the White House Office of Science and Technology Policy and the MacArthur Foundation, two significant American organizations involved in the creation of Expert Labs. Argyle (talk) 03:49, 22 November 2009 (UTC)[reply]
