Move to Exposition Park, Los Angeles?[edit]

That would be in line with neighborhood naming conventions. Until just a minute ago Exposition Park, Los Angeles redirected to the actual park, which is called Exposition Park (Los Angeles) (in line with how parks do seem to be named). I changed the redirect to point at the neighborhood, but it's not possible to actually move this article because of the previous redirect pointing elsewhere. Thus we ought to discuss it here and, if consensus is reached to move, round up an admin to move it for us. Thoughts?— alf laylah wa laylah (talk) 14:21, 3 April 2014 (UTC)[reply]

Exposition Park, Los AngelesExposition Park (Los Angeles neighborhood) – Rvt undiscussed move from 2014. The ambiguity issues that lead to Exposition Park (Los Angeles) being moved recently apply just as much here. * Pppery * it has begun... 23:23, 14 March 2024 (UTC)[reply]

  • Oppose. Neighborhoods, settlements, and other such place names that go under WP:PLACE are normally treated differently using comma-separated disambiguation instead of parenthetical disambiguation. Per WP:NCDAB: Ambiguous geographic names are often disambiguated by adding the name of a higher-level administrative division, separated by a comma. In this case, you have the neighborhood "Exposition Park" and its higher-level administrative division, "Los Angeles". A hatnote to the now renamed Exposition Park (urban park) is more distinct and sufficient now, and a park and other such protected areas instead go under WP:NGEO. • Oppose It currently follows the same naming convention as other neighborhoods.Phatblackmama (talk) 00:58, 22 March 2024 (UTC)[reply]
