General Notability Guideline[edit]

I saw the notice up on the main part of this article so I figured I'd leave a comment. I'd say FIGlet definitely deserves an article on wikipedia. Doing a Google search on that word alone brings up over 100,000 results. It's probably the most notable ASCII Art app there is (even more so than JavE, which also has its own article) - Patorjk (talk) 19:48, 16 April 2008 (UTC)[reply]

Also note that JavE's website includes a section devoted to FIGlet fonts, although I think banner is still probably the most notable in class. --Belg4mit (talk) 03:15, 20 April 2008 (UTC)[reply]

I tried to add a reference, but it didn't work! I used the same format as the references on the Colin Kirton article (which I had also contributed to in the past). I even tested it by copying a reference from there to see. The footnote number appears, but no footnotes appear in the references section. Can someone more well-versed in Wikipedia help? Thanks. ianchai (talk) 08:56, 120 April 2008 (MST)

FIGlet is more notable than much of the cruft clogging up Wikipedia's database User:Mikeblas. Of course, you could have tried to verify that yourself before flagging the article. Consider, for instance, the various reimplementations of FIGlet, or web services available (some of which might be added in the external links). --Belg4mit (talk) 03:15, 20 April 2008 (UTC)[reply]

Requested move[edit]

Figlet → FIGlet – According to the FIGfont Version 2 FIGfont and FIGdriver Standard the term FIGlet shall be written with capitalized "FIG".

FIGlet is indeed "officially" written this way. Ianchai (talk) 00:43, 20 April 2008 (UTC)[reply]

Problem with -k option description[edit]

The description of the -k option in the behavior section is self-contradictory;kerning is exactly the opposite of printing each letter of the message individually. I myself am not sure what the actual behavior of FIGlet is, but it someone should fix this. — Preceding unsigned comment added by 82.157.27.86 (talk) 10:40, 12 April 2014 (UTC)[reply]

External links modified[edit]

Hello fellow Wikipedians,

I have just added archive links to one external link on FIGlet. Please take a moment to review my edit. You may add {{cbignore}} after the link to keep me from modifying it, if I keep adding bad data, but formatting bugs should be reported instead. Alternatively, you can add {{nobots|deny=InternetArchiveBot}} to keep me off the page altogether, but should be used as a last resort. I made the following changes:

When you have finished reviewing my changes, please set the checked parameter below to true or failed to let others know (documentation at {{Sourcecheck}}).

Commons[edit]

Only to be known: now it exists the Category:Screenshots of Figlet in Commons, useful for the sister project links template. Have a nice day! --Valerio Bozzolan (talk) 13:13, 26 September 2016 (UTC)[reply]
