"Russell and FTSE stock index articles need to be updated for merger"[edit]

LSE bought the Russell stock indices from Russell Investments a year ago now and combined the unit with their FTSE stock index unit. FTSE Group is now referred to as FTSE Russell, should this page be renamed and the rest updated? 71.231.120.124 (talk) 01:56, 21 July 2016 (UTC)[reply]

"City and year data needed"[edit]

It would likely be redundant to have another list of overseas offices with the years included this time, so to clarify what I meant in the article, it leaves me wondering on several points - how quickly did the overseas expansion proceed? What prompted the expanaion? Was it as successful in other countries as in the UK? Briefly touching on these points would be helpful. --Vedek Dukat Talk 02:08, 25 March 2006 (UTC)[reply]

Fair use rationale for Image:FTSE.PNG[edit]

Image:FTSE.PNG is being used on this article. I notice the image page specifies that the image is being used under fair use but there is no explanation or rationale as to why its use in Wikipedia articles constitutes fair use. In addition to the boilerplate fair use template, you must also write out on the image description page a specific explanation or rationale for why using this image in each article is consistent with fair use.

Please go to the image description page and edit it to include a fair use rationale. Using one of the templates at Wikipedia:Fair use rationale guideline is an easy way to insure that your image is in compliance with Wikipedia policy, but remember that you must complete the template. Do not simply insert a blank template on an image page.

If there is other other fair use media, consider checking that you have specified the fair use rationale on the other images used on this page. Note that any fair use images uploaded after 4 May, 2006, and lacking such an explanation will be deleted one week after they have been uploaded, as described on criteria for speedy deletion. If you have any questions please ask them at the Media copyright questions page. Thank you.BetacommandBot 08:22, 4 June 2007 (UTC)[reply]

Name[edit]

copy from official site https://www.ftserussell.com/

"FTSE Russell" is a trading name of FTSE International Limited (“FTSE”) and Frank Russell Company (“Russell”) and their respective subsidiary undertakings, which are members of the London Stock Exchange Group plc group.

So it still two companies and an undiscussed controversial move to me when moving FTSE Group to FTSE Russell. Matthew hk (talk) 00:59, 18 February 2019 (UTC)[reply]

As a note, currently Frank Russell Company redirected to Russell Investments (which is not owned by LSE), thus it may worth to retarget the redirect. Since there is no article for Frank Russell Company, so either expand and reconstitute FTSE Group (this article) to cover the "post-merger" FTSE Russell, or start another article at all. I preferred to start a new article. Matthew hk (talk) 06:46, 18 February 2019 (UTC)[reply]
