Bomb

The reference to the bomb used in Boston Massachusetts does not belong in the history section. This brand of homewear is far more important than one of their cookers, which may possibly have been used in a bomb.203.184.41.226 (talk) 07:07, 19 April 2013 (UTC)

I completely agree. This is hardly even news. Fagor sells thousands of cookers in United States each year Bloomberg: "Fagor sells about 200,000 cookers a year in the U.S., with a market share of about 40 percent" --Ikerm (talk) 16:56, 22 April 2013 (UTC)

Addressing the terrible fact that the bombs that killed 3 people and injured almost 200 others in Boston were made using Fagor cookers is deeply unfair to the fifty years of Fagor´s company history. If this is an acceptable criteria for Wikipedia editors then we should address the brand of every car used in every car bombing resulting in someone´s injury of death. Like in this article, for example: http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/List_of_mass_car_bombings What about mass murderers? Should the brands manufacturing axes of knives feel that burden in their Wikipedia info? Either it´s a general criteria or its biased. I would argue that this is relevant information in an article about the attack in Boston, but in the article about the company its out of place, deeply damaging and -I insist- totally biased. --Astokilo (talk) 17:06, 22 April 2013 (UTC)

Confusing

This article is a touch confusing: it is not clear, to me anyway on first reading, what the financial position of Faydor is and which companies in the Mondragon Corporation have closed/ been taken over. Part of the problem is that three companies are intertwined in the text: Fagor, Fagor Electrodomésticos, and the Mondragon Corporation.

Also the window on the right says that Fagor Electrodomésticos is defunct, but the Wiki article is about the Fador which is currently trading. The key statement is: 'Later Fagor Electrodomésticos officially announced its bankruptcy as well and has been taken over by Spanish appliance manufacturer CATA Electrodomésticos (CNA Group) in autumn 2014, adding 155 new jobs'. So I suggest that the Wiki article should cover Fador as it is now. From this it follows that the opening statement that Fador is part of the Mondragon Corporation is incorrect, and the window on the right that says that Fagor Electrodomésticos is defunct is irrelevant/not correct.

By the way, this is what the Wiki Mondragon Corporation article currently says about Fador: 'On 16 October 2013, Fagor filed for bankruptcy under Spanish law in order to renegotiate €1,1 billion of debt, after suffering heavy losses during the eurocrisis and as a consequence of poor financial management, putting 5,600 employees at risk of losing their jobs.[15] This was followed by the bankruptcy of the whole Fagor group on 6 November 2013.[16] On July 2013, Fagor was bought by Catalan company Cata for €42.5 million. Cata pledged to create 705 direct jobs in the Basque Country as well as ensuring the continuity of the brand names Fagor, Edesa, Aspes, and Splendid. [17]'

Definitely Out of Date

The takeover of Fagot by CATA seems to make the paragraph about Mondragon Corporation redundant. Mondragon should be mentioned in terms of the origin of Fagor, but nothing more. Also, has any renaming of Fagor taken place?
