Split[edit]

This article should be split. The first 80% of the article, including the Fallshirmjager badge are about the WWII incarnation, while the last 20% mention the modern Fallshirmjager. According to the infobox the Fallshirmjager ceased to exist with the fall of Nazi Germany, but that simply isn't true. Parachutist divisions still exist in the Bundeswehr. This makes the article unnecessarily confusing, as noted below in the "Just WW2?" comment.

I suggest that the English language version take a page from the German version and split the article into "Fallschirmjäger (Wehrmacht)" and "Fallschirmjäger_(Bundeswehr)"

Game/TV references?[edit]

What's up with the Band of Brothers and Brothers in Arms blurb? It seems as if they were just inserted into the article just because some fan wanted them to be included. Not very encyclopedic.

They should be a part of a separate section, "Fallschirmjager" in fiction" or something, or at least isolated from the main text of that section. It just breaks the continuity of the information, and for what?

Incorrect introductory paragraph: Fallschirmjagers were not a part of the Wehrmacht[edit]

Current German Airborne Forces[edit]

The section covering the current situation of the German Army Airborne Forces is meanwhile totally outdated. The DSO has become the Division Rapid Forces (DSK). The two Airborne Brigades has been downsized to Regiments (Airborne Infantery Bn 26 and 31). The Dutch 11. LMB (Airmobile Brigade) was transferred to DSK for training and peacetime duty. And the Airmobile and Army Aviation Division, the DLO, has merged with the DSO to form DSK. So the remaining German Army Aviation Assets became part of the Division as well. And the mentioned 1.
