Fanny Vandegrift - The article is a stub. Completely uncomplete at the end. Death of R. L. St. The next man, son of one of F. V.'s school friends. Etc. - Delabarquera. --172.208.75.121 22:50, 29 July 2006 (UTC)Alexander[reply]

You're right. So fix it. Find a source that relates the end of her life and add the source and what they have to say. Wjhonson 00:27, 30 July 2006 (UTC)[reply]
Well, there is one little problem: I am German, and my English is, frankly spoken, "not so good". So I will write the German article. (After vacation in France, starting tomorrow.) If there is someone who will correct an attempt of my translation? _But_: there must be GB- or US-readers of Stevenson's novels who know St.'s and Fanny's life and are able to complete this article blindfold?! :-) -- "While Alexandra Lapierre's biography of Fanny Stevenson has been criticised for its flights into fiction, her assessment of Stevenson as 'more barbaric, more baroque than anything I could have imagined, more humane and more monstrous, [an] American woman [who] embodies a myth and world in herself' does not mark the extreme of the romanticisation of Fanny. Alexandra Lapierre, Fanny Stevenson: Muse, Adventuress and Romantic Enigma (London: Fourth Estate, 1995), p. 4 -- see here -- Delabarquera. --172.178.79.186 20:08, 31 July 2006 (UTC)[reply]
Your writing (above) is perfectly acceptable English. Any grammatical errors, I would be willing to correct. However I don't have a source for the end of her life, so go ahead and provide the factual information and I'll fix the English. If it needs it. Wjhonson 21:23, 31 July 2006 (UTC)[reply]
Hi Wjhonson! Thanks for compliments regarding my English exercises. -- Last sunday I have heard an interesting and very informative broadcast about Fanny V., broadcasted by the "Bayerischer Rundfunk" (Bavarian Broadcast). I will hear it again and after reading the script I will try to formulate a provisional chapter after vacation. It _will_ need grammatical and also word corrections, I am quite sure. -- Delabarquera. Vandegrift or Vandergrift or Van de Grift?14:45, 2 August 2006 (UTC)

The correct spelling is Van De Grift--Count de Ville 11:44, 16 October 2006 (UTC)[reply]
But Alexander Vandegrift is likely of the same descent.194.78.28.147 (talk) 15:55, 22 January 2014 (UTC)[reply]

Blacklisted Links Found on the Main Page[edit]

Cyberbot II has detected that page contains external links that have either been globally or locally blacklisted. Links tend to be blacklisted because they have a history of being spammed, or are highly innappropriate for Wikipedia. This, however, doesn't necessarily mean it's spam, or not a good link. If the link is a good link, you may wish to request whitelisting by going to the request page for whitelisting. If you feel the link being caught by the blacklist is a false positive, or no longer needed on the blacklist, you may request the regex be removed or altered at the blacklist request page. If the link is blacklisted globally and you feel the above applies you may request to whitelist it using the before mentioned request page, or request it's removal, or alteration, at the request page on meta. When requesting whitelisting, be sure to supply the link to be whitelisted and wrap the link in nowiki tags. The whitelisting process can take its time so once a request has been filled out, you may set the invisible parameter on the tag to true. Please be aware that the bot will replace removed tags, and will remove misplaced tags regularly.
