The only references on this page have to do with a fast draw youtube video and a wiki article mentioning that there were historically very few showdowns. Ignoring the fact that you shouldn't reference a Wiki page with another Wiki page, I think the area that needs referencing is the section that says the best fast draw shooters can hear the signal, reach for the pistol, draw it, cock it, aim it and pull the trigger in 0.2 of a second, admittedly faster than the speed of human thought. Given that seemingly impossibility, we need a source for that kind of incredible claim. The Cap'n (talk) 20:28, 19 August 2011 (UTC)

Agree. Besides the wild claims, many of the videos look fishy too. For example people clearly shooting the ground, but seeming to score. If the rules say say...shooting the ground is ok (if say, the balloon pops,) fine, —but to remove the fishy-ness, this should be enunciated. The article says; "Fast Draw is shot with special blanks." '"special?"' So special that shooting the ground (or other wild shot) will pop a balloon? Again, people will be reading this very critically because of the implied super-natural, so such vague language just looks uhm....vague. But again, if the blanks are quasi-shot-shells, fine—people don't need to be faked out to appreciate the speed, etc.

And why does Bob Munden and others always use smokey powder and camera angle to obscure the shooting sequence? And why in a game that is quicker than the eye, are so few (none?) real high speed, good quality movie cameras used? At least one model is real-person cheap these days, look at all the high-speed gun Vs. melon etc videos on Youtube! For the sport to be seen as respectable, the magic show appearances need to be removed, (or explained as the game rules). The articles narrative implies realistic shooting, yet the "smoke" suggests that's a lie. Magic shows do not conjure such harsh language because they are usually explained as illusion, not as reality. Perhaps the wax bullet side of the sport is more realistic, yet all the videos seem to be about the "special" blanks...meaning zero accuracy...meaning not really about shooting guns at all, but more about reaction time and quick wiggling. While I could be way off base here, understand that others are likely to share my Youtube "education" in this sport.
