Have made efforts to clean up the web and journal references and re-write sections for NPOV. Am looking for ideas on how to better organize the CRS summary section. There also needs to be a way to cite the Congressional Research Service summary. This section needs to re-written from a list format in sentence form to have a flow to the prose. --Markmere (talk) 15:08, 23 April 2011 (UTC)[reply]

Dubious[edit]

I don't have the original Congressional Research Service Summary quoted in the article, but the article is saying here that the length of temporary appointments has increased from 120 to 150 day maximum. However I can't find any reference to 150 days of anything in the Act, and it seems 210 days is the maximum: "Except in the case of a vacancy caused by sickness, the person serving as an acting officer as described under section 3345 may serve in the office for no longer than 210 days beginning on the date the vacancy occurs..." ([1]). Furthermore, after President Trump announced this week that he had appointed Matthew Whitaker as acting Attorney General (apparently using his powers under the FVRA), multiple news sources quoted the length of time Whitaker can stay in office as 210 days not 150.
