Redirect?[edit]

We should, either, redirect this to the other, almost identical disambiguation page at United States v. Trump, or vice versa.

This would be the more logical target (assuming the pages it disambiguates dont get moved again), but the other page has a briefer title (for referring to in See also sections) and the usual objections around specificity to the use of case names here don't apply when referring to multiple cases. Nice catch. Indeed, this page should be the main redirect and that one should be redirected here. The Quirky Kitty (talk) 17:59, 3 August 2023 (UTC)[reply]
@The Quirky Kitty I tend to agree. However, per the recent consensus for a merger of Trump trial disambiguation pages (to which I was not party), is there any good reason we should not redirect both to Trial of Donald Trump#Criminal? Llew Mawr (talk) 22:45, 3 August 2023 (UTC)[reply]
Oh, I see, there's a third page. Yes, our coverage on Trump's legal issues is very disorganized. Putting all the trials in one disambiguation page is indeed the best option. So we shouldn't merge to United States v. Trump but redirect both to Trial of Donald Trump. The Quirky Kitty (talk) 03:06, 4 August 2023 (UTC)[reply]
@The Quirky Kitty Whilst the two prosecutions have a parenthetical disambiguator—at least until WP:RS coallesce on a common name for each—I've no idea if it might be inconsistent with policy, or even confusing to readers, for the undisambiguated name to redirect to a long disambiguation page, though.
