Misattributed assertion[edit]

The article states that the Still River community considers the Richmond SBC a "cult". However, the citation (the article on SPLC's web site) attributes that word to Paul Melanson. Is there any reason not to correct this? --Chonak (talk) 22:43, 11 January 2011 (UTC)[reply]

RfC[edit]

Light bulb iconBAn RfC: Which descriptor, if any, can be added in front of Southern Poverty Law Center when referenced in other articles? has been posted at the Southern Poverty Law Center talk page. Your participation is welcomed. – MrX 16:43, 22 September 2012 (UTC)[reply]

It doesn't need a descriptor because that entire section violates WP:NPOV and WP:UNDUE. POV pushers tend to forgot that when someone goes to an article on say, Feeneyism, they want to find out about Feeneyism, not the opinions of a particular biased organization in the USA. 85.71.136.103 (talk) 08:39, 10 January 2018 (UTC)[reply]
Be that as it may, the SPLC isn't the only organization that condemns these supposedly "Catholic" organizations leftover from Leonard Feeney's movement. So does the Church. The Mysterious El Willstro (talk) 01:00, 15 March 2019 (UTC)[reply]

I agree that this article should be merged, but I don't think it should be merged into Feeneyism, which is an article centered more on the theological position than on the group. Rather, I think this article should be merged into The Slaves of the Immaculate Heart of Mary page, since that page deals directly with the group and its divisions. This article could be merged since Vatican excommunicated Fr. Feeney "on account of grave disobedience to Church Authority". The question on salvation outside the Church and its "strict" or "open" interpretation was never discussed in process which Fr. Feeney was excommunicated. — Preceding unsigned comment added by Bcliot33 (talkcontribs) 14:33, 22 October 2019 (UTC)[reply]
