petty theft w/ prior[edit]

Can the prior theft be "petty" too?[edit]
If the prior theft was also petty theft, is then the second petty theft still considered a felony in California? Please clarify. -- 77.7.148.217 (talk) 16:06, 7 March 2011 (UTC)
