Photo mix-up?[edit]

The two photo captions (for Largo and Mount Melville) appear to be swapped, according to the descriptions for the photos on Wikicommons, which are the other way around. Not sure which labels are correct?

Fife Coast Railway[edit]

Quote "Immediately following the authorisation of the Edinburgh and Northern Railway in 1845, a prospectus was issued for an East of Fife Railway. It would either leave the E&NR at Thornton and follow the valley of the River Leven, or leave it at Markinch and follow the valley of the River Orr (often spelt "Ore"). Either way, the line would pass through Cameron Bridge and run close to the coast as far as Anstruther, a distance of about twenty miles. The easy topography of the area was such that the line would be "free from tunnelling or embanking".

These statements are mixed up - leaving the E&NR at Thornton would follow the valley of the River Ore as Thornton town lies on the banks of the Ore. Leaving it at Markinch would follow the valley of the River Leven as Markinch sits on the top of the north side of the River Leven Valley 92.18.90.212 (talk) 18:56, 7 December 2023 (UTC)[reply]
