Single Sales decline[edit]
- single sales for example were around 78 million for 1998 yet this figure had decreased to a mere 8.6 million by 2008...
This figure may only include physical sales. According to the BPI, in 2010 "[t]he singles market recorded an all-time sales high of 161.8m, 5.9% up on 2009’s tally of 152.7m" with CD single sales around the 2m mark. As elsewhere, I'm not too sure how to best edit this in, and probably count as an interested party (having argued with the BPI over this sort of thing). --Duke 12:13, 25 January 2011 (UTC) — Preceding unsigned comment added by DukeUK (talk • contribs)
Barwinska Case[edit]
The Barwinska case referenced here is slightly controversial (due to the lack of solid information about it. In particular, the BBC article on the case was described by a Judge as "materially inaccurate" (sadly no usable source yet). A better summary is here. There are also other examples of the same sort of "letter-writing" campaign; a search (through Techdirt or TorrentFreak) for "ACS Law" should provide plenty of information. I would edit myself but am probably too close to the issue. --Duke 12:08, 25 January 2011 (UTC)
