Hi all,

I think you'll all agree that the RFU are a spent force.

They had the opportunity to sit with the grown ups on the NJC but turned it down because they have no money or members!! That would have been their chance to have a say on our national conditions of service, but no. The FBU continue to on our behalf

Where I work we have finally realised that we were wasting our money giving it to this mob. The only time you hear of them is when their only rep (who's now WT & FBU) is quoted in the paper saying rubbish like "firefighters are paid too much 99% of the time. its times like this when they earn there wages" - this was the day after there were two firefighter fatalities in his own brigade!!!!

Well me and my station have now all joined the FBU and ALL the stations around me are leaving to join the FBU. If you call your local rep they will come see you and tell you what they are doing for us and how we can get involved. We had a RDS rep, brigade rep, regional official, and a national organiser come speak to us.

Take a look at the links on the Wiki page they have about 3000 members. I'll lay a wager its less than 2500 this time next year. If it wasn't for Asseto giving them £10'000's last year they would be bust by now. Just to remind you assecto are a private company providing a strike breaking (SCAB) workforce for London, should they ever go on strike.

Whats that got to do with the RFU??? If someone could post it here I would appreciate it.--Hampshirefirefighter (talk) 21:09, 18 July 2010 (UTC)[reply]
