Operations[edit]

Hello, I am an employee of First Quantum Minerals and I just wanted to highlight that the information in the Operations section has changed as of 2022. In 2022 First Quantum produced 775,859 tonnes of copper, 21,529 contained tonnes of nickel, and 283,226 ounces of gold. Copper was responsible for 86% of revenues, gold 5%, and nickel 6%. Carbon Footprint[edit]

Hello, I am an employee of First Quantum Minerals and I just wanted to highlight that for Dec 31 of 2022 First Quantum Minerals reported Total CO2e emissions (Scope 1+Scope 2) at 4,377 Kt (+30/+1% year-over-year). First Quantum Minerals Total CO2e emissions (Scope 1+Scope 2) (in kilotonnes) are: for Dec 2020 4,252, for Dec 2021 4,347 and for Dec 2022 4,377. 2023 protests in Panamá[edit]

Country-wide protests seek to curb the mine’s environmental destructiveness, overuse and pollution of water, and exploitative use of workers from the Philippines.
