Well, so what happened to this article? It used to have lots of refs, and be really big. Now it's tiny and unref'd. It sure looks like AfD fodder now. Thoughts? Anna Frodesiak (talk) 14:26, 12 January 2014 (UTC)[reply]

The version you link to was an initial draft of the article by an editor who copied the article Amazon.com and then proceeded to rewrite sections to make it about this company rather than the US-based bookseller. The content and references in that link are mostly about Amazon. The article was a much more modest length by the time that editor was finished with it a couple of weeks later. It contained no inline references and was to some extent promotional. A number of editors, including myself, have since stripped out some of this unreferenced and promotional material. I have no connection with Fishpond beyond being an occasional customer of theirs.-gadfium 19:44, 12 January 2014 (UTC)[reply]
Thanks for the explanation. Fair enough. So, what do you think should be done? Should we restore the old list of references? AfD? Dig for new refs? Best, Anna Frodesiak (talk) 22:55, 12 January 2014 (UTC)[reply]
I've added a reference. You are welcome to add more. [1] and [2] are possible sources, but I didn't add them myself because I think these incidents are fairly minor.-gadfium 23:52, 12 January 2014 (UTC)[reply]
Hmmmm, I think you're right. But, do you this this article passes GNG? Anna Frodesiak (talk) 02:28, 13 January 2014 (UTC)[reply]
It's pretty well known in New Zealand, and I found those three references very easily, so I think it does.-gadfium 03:22, 13 January 2014 (UTC)[reply]
Okay, then. Let's leave it at that. Many thanks. :) Anna Frodesiak (talk) 05:40, 13 January 2014 (UTC)[reply]
