Can 'fixation' also refer to an obsession with an abstract concept, an idea? I'm not a subject expert here so am holding back from editing the article. Perhaps someone more qualified could comment/make the edit Hugh Mason (talk • contribs 23:19, 4 June 2009 (UTC)[reply]

rename article[edit]

i don't know about specific categorization methods, but this does not look like the crude basic concept of fixation/obsession. i propose to somehow indicate this article refers to a specific freudian topic of sexual fixation. as already mentioned here by others, this is not denoted in the title in any way, nor is there any indication it focuses on sexuality. kuchesezik 17:08, 9 January 2024 (UTC) — Preceding unsigned comment added by Kuchesezik (talk • contribs)
