13 rays of red and gold[edit]

I don't want to be the one to edit this page, but I believe the 13 rays of red and gold represent the original US colonies, not the original Arizona counties. Arizona Territory was created with an original 4 counties and by the time it became a state it had 14 counties. The External link on this page (Arizona flag history) says "13 colonies." The second reference "Flags of the World" on this page says "13 states." I can find no references online that supports the "13 colonies" phrase.

There were 13 counties until Greenlee was added in 1909. If the flag was introduced in 1910, it's possible the creator had come up with the idea a few years ealier. A news article from that time would probably settle the issue. —Preceding unsigned comment added by 68.104.134.244 (talk) 04:02, 25 April 2011 (UTC)[reply]

Thomas Cambell[edit]

Just to mention it the Thomas Cambell you added there is the wrong one. The one you want is Thomas Edward Cambell, not Thomas Jefferson Cambell. Maybe I will get around to changing that. I thought I would mention that in case I didn't fix that. — Preceding unsigned comment added by Craighank (talkcontribs) 18:35, 17 September 2012 (UTC)[reply]
