I'm obviously doing my part to make this change soon, but at the time of this writing, this show is so little-known that some people might assume that I'm making the whole thing up. I've seen it, however, at the Paley Center for Media and it's quite involving, with an utterly great cameo by John Wayne as well as a typically top-drawer performance by James Stewart--filmed the same year that Ford, Wayne, and Stewart shot their best movie (separately or together): The Man Who Shot Liberty Valance. Oddly, Ford had directed a half-hour baseball television drama earlier with a similar theme, "Rookie of the Year," also with Patrick Wayne as the phenomenal young player but with his father John Wayne and Ward Bond in the leads.
