Fair use[edit]

Is it a violation of fair use to use a sample image from a collectible card game as a representative image of flavor text? I ask because fair use legality sometimes is related to whether the image is being used along with an article discussing the content in question, i.e. it's fair use to use an image from a CCG in an article about the CCG, but perhaps not in another context. If it is a violation, it's a simple matter to yank the image. -- Slordak 16:16, 25 May 2006 (UTC)[reply]

Other uses of flavor text[edit]

From current revision: "Flavor text is the name given to text for action figure character backgrounds, playing cards, or within the pages of a role-playing game's rulebook.". Those aren't the only places it can be used; the Myth games have flavor text for every unit in the game, and the Halos have flavor text for each multiplayer map. I'm not sure how to best incorporate that, though. --DocumentN (talk) 21:42, 8 April 2008 (UTC)[reply]
