Dracone[edit]
How does this differ in principle from the Dracone barge, invented in 1956 for the transport of crude oil etc? (Actually described by Frank Herbert in his 1955 novel The Dragon in the Sea.) PhilUK (talk) 21:17, 21 December 2010 (UTC)
Contextual information missing[edit]
I don't mean to "bag" his invention, but this article does not investigate key areas of economic viability of the product. The cost analysis doesn't appear to include the amortization of the product versus alternatives. How to deploy the water once it arrives?[edit]
The article should include a section on how to deploy the water once it arrives at its destination. Pump it into a reservoir? Dock the bags and pump it out as needed? How exactly would the pumping work - seems tricky to pump water out of submerged bags. Also, note that the bags would have to arrive in a sea water port, or they'd sink. --Sman9356 (talk) 23:50, 21 December 2010 (UTC)
What's the big deal about connecting them together?[edit]
If drag's the main issue, you could just put the water bag on very long pontoons, and add wind/water/solar sails on top to save more energy. 79.180.23.141 (talk) 12:07, 31 July 2011 (UTC)
