Untitled[edit]

Regardless of the verifiability of the sources you've provided, this guy is hardly notable enough to warrant his own page on Wikipedia -- he's ancillary to the bread clip article, and any information found here would be just as easily (and more usefully) found in THAT article. Please do not assume ownership of articles. It is not "your" article, it is a Wikipedia article that is collaborative with everyone. Also, watch the personal attacks. Thanks for the backup on this Rwiggum. And 2 port, I'm not attacking you, or even the idea that the guy is real, or was the inventor -- just that that information is better suited as a PART of the bread clip page, as opposed to having a whole article devoted to the otherwise-unimportant inventor. I've changed my opinion on Paxton. He was a president of the John Birch Society, an inventor, a newspaper publisher, and a Congressional candidate. I think that's enough for notability. We still need proof of the claim that part of the company's profits go to the JBS. A look at the company shows that there are lots of Paxtons working there, though. State senator? Apparently not[edit]

Despite Seagrave's assertion, according to the State of Washington's historic records, through 2005 there had never been a Washington legislator named Paxton (although there have been several named Floyd)! Removal of the statement regarding donations to the John birch society based on sales of bread clips.[edit]

The first online reference to this donation to the JBS was made on August 23, 2002 at http://www.struat.com/justin/breadclip.html, where Justin Straub, the author of the site, makes the statement: "EVERY TIME you buy a bread-clip- the patent owned by the Paxton family's Kwik Lox Corporation, a portion of the profits goes to the John Birch Society."

It should be pointed out that Straub.com is a farcical site, with a good deal of creatively invented material that is rather loosely tied to reality.

Moreover, on another page of his site (http://www.struat.com/justin/breadclipredux.html), Justin states: "An online encyclopedia is wondering whether or not my claims regarding the history of the breadclip are true or not... ...How much credibility do I have? None. I do indulge in complete fabrication on this website."

I am unable to find any other reference to any individual or ongoing donation made by Floyd Paxton or his estate in any legal documentation based on the sales of Kwik-loks.
