Split[edit]

This article's title is a certain chemical, but much of the content is other chemicals that are derived from it (Fmoc–N3, Fmoc–OSu) and the general use of them (amine protection and deprotection). I propose that "Fmoc", the general topic of this protective group be split into a separate article, leaving only this one chemical here. DMacks (talk) 04:38, 22 December 2016 (UTC)[reply]

DMacks@ Agreed. I dont think that many would argue against this action. So we'd leave behind Fmoc chloride and its chem box, but the protecting strategies would go into the new article entitled Fmoc orFmoc protecting group. --Smokefoot (talk) 17:59, 5 July 2017 (UTC)[reply]
