[Untitled][edit]

Is there an error in the Italian version of the long tempo indication in the Rondeau? I believe that "... *non* molto garbo ..." is the exact opposite of Mozart's intention, and it should be "... *con* molto garbo ...". 86.13.158.235 (talk) 16:34, 25 June 2011 (UTC)[reply]

  • I'll see if the manuscript exists to be checked, but I think the answer is no, it's a joke, possibly (conjectures Alfred Einstein) at the expense of a then and there very popular contemporary of Mozart's (Giuseppe Maria Cambini). • Page 9 of the Autograph score PDF (first page of the last movement) (top left) very very clearly has non molto garbo, not con. Schissel | Sound the Note! 01:13, 4 October 2019 (UTC)[reply]
Huh? It very very clearly says con. (Are you perhaps reading the non in però non troppo adagio?) And that's the reading the NMA adopts. I'll change it. Double sharp (talk) 04:33, 27 February 2021 (UTC)[reply]
