Who's Plagiarizing who?[edit]

So I found this article today (http://www.masterzico.com/2010/05/flying-pig-marathon.html) and it is almost word for word what is in this article here. Unfortunately, this article does not cite any references in the article itself. Who copied who here? KyNephi (talk) 12:49, 2 May 2010 (UTC)[reply]

Precision[edit]

"42.194988-kilometre"

Is this the precise length or has some laggard rounded it off to the nearest millimetre? Wanderer57 (talk) 02:09, 8 April 2012 (UTC)[reply]

Jargon[edit]

Some special vocabulary should be cleared up for non-runners:

  • "first-time marathon"
while it can be deducted from the "qualification for the Boston marathon" that not all events are open to everybody, the term "first-time" marathon should be explained properly.
  • "5K race", "10K race"
is this common parlance among event organizers? Then it should be explained for laymen. Otherwise preference should be given to proper SI Units such as "5 km" and "10 km". It should generally be avoided to capitalize "kilo" as much as possible.

This is common parlance for road races in the USA. I have added links to the relevant Wikipedia pages. These races are known as 10 and 5 'K' races, and this is often, if not always, capitalised in the USA. Friecode (talk) 14:30, 21 December 2015 (UTC)[reply]

Winners[edit]

Could someone create a list of winners for this race? Kingsriter201 (talk) 18:26, 9 April 2021 (UTC)[reply]
