Copyright issues?[edit]

On the article page the inital editor listed as the "source" the "backsleeve of 1967 RCA record LSC-3189". Backsleeves, like blurbs, are copyrighted. Did the editor simply copy the backsleve text? can anyone verify this one eay or the other? DES ^(talk) 07:09, 25 August 2005 (UTC)[reply]

You are richt DESiegel, the text is for the most part just OCRed and pasted, but the information in it is pubblic domain. I am not native english, and don't have a lot of time at the moment. It shouldn't be difficult for a native english speaker to rewrite the article in a way that it is original! FaZ72 19:11 25 August 2005

add original version to 'recordings' section?[edit]

as the above 'copyright issues' points out, the rca recording of berio conducting the julliard ensemble with berberian singing is in the public domain, at least in the u.s., thanks to the 'music modernization act'. here's the url https://archive.org/details/lp_luciano-berio-conducts-his-epifanie-and-fo_luciano-berio-bbc-symphony-orchestra-juill i know the internet archive is under attack for its controlled digital lending policy, but this sound recording should be completely legal, if there are no objections i'll add it to the 'recordings' section in a few days Potholehotline (talk) 21:29, 12 March 2024 (UTC)[reply]

Obligatory link. :-) No problems, but the section above was about "information being in the public domain", which is different (and arguably not quite true) ... but with the subsequent rewrites and edits, meh ...
