Untitled[edit]

This page needs a better definition of the sub-fonds (and include the equivalent term sous-fonds) - it reads more like a series at the moment, and doesn't describe the role provenance plays in determining the sous-fonds.

A Remarkable Young Man[edit]

I find it inspiring that M. de Wailly was able to reach a high position in the French Royal Archives and issue his authoritative circular at such early an age. It just shows the importance of giving youth it's head...

However, {{Luciana Duranti}} has found evidence of the idea originating in Naples and other places prior to Wailly's Circular no. 14 in 1814.

He must have been at least 8 years old.
