I'm more than a little concerned...[edit]

Dismissive[edit]

It should also be noted that in everyday French, this phrase is dismissive of the (supposedly?) uneducated, uninformed and unsophisticated natives populating the villages and small towns of the vast and often remote agricultural hinterland. It also carries a hint of reprobation toward (supposed?) narrow-mindness and egoism masquerading as common sense.
