Confusing sentence

Could the following sentence possibly any longer and more confusing?

Hester le Mahieu's sister was Marie le Mahieu, wife of Jan Lano, another protestant refugee in Canterbury and then Leiden, whose son, Philippe de Lannoy migrated on the Fortune to join his uncle Francis Cooke and his cousin Robert at Plymouth colony in 1621, having been left behind with twenty others when the Mayflower's sailing mate, the Speedwell, foundered and returned to port in England leaving the Mayflower to sail alone.

Reference in this article is incomplete and unuseable as such

Re: Walter J. Harrison, New Light on Francis Cooke and His Wife Hester Mayhieu and Their Son John. Mayflower Descendant, Vol 27, 145-153. I have looked around and called the Godfrey Memorial Library which is a genealogical library in Connecticut and they cannot locate this article though they have many Mayflower Descendant articles and volumes. In addition there is no month or year stated on the issue. Would the editor who inserted this sentence and gave it this reference please recheck his information and give full citation. Otherwise, it will have to be deleted. Thanks Mugginsx (talk) 16:41, 30 May 2012 (UTC)

Regarding the above comment dated May 30, 2012: Mugginsx deleted content and its source one day after posting the above comment. It was deleted because the citation (at the time) was missing the month of publication and because Muggins couldn’t locate the article. The sentence (before it was partially deleted) was:

In Leiden, sometime after July 20, 1603, as Franchoys Couck, he married Hester le Mahieu, born in Lille, the daughter of Protestant refugees from the Spanish Netherlands (Dutch: Rijsels-Vlaanderen, French: La Flandre lilloise) via England.
