Is Beamer's scar notable enough in its own right to merit an entire subheading?

Beamer is from North Carolina ... although I don't know that having it in the Wikiproject area makes a lot of sense because the article is not really one that is going to enhance Wikipedia 1.0's coverage of that state. Beamer was born in North Carolina but he spent all of his youth in Virginia. The only reason he was born in North Carolina is because it's the closest hospital to his hometown. I'm not sure what Wikiproject North Carolina's standards are for inclusion but this one seems questionable. --Rtphokie 00:06, 7 October 2007 (UTC)[reply]

Father?[edit]

A "Francis Beamer" earned letters on the Maryland varsity football team in 1938 and 1939 ([1]). The timeline adds up and the names seem more than coincidental, along with Frank serving as a grad assistant at UM. Can anyone confirm if that was his father? Although it is a very interesting one, it is simply a coincidence - Frank's dad was named Raymond. ([2]) Possibly another relative though. Pajokie 8 August 2016
