Nice to know that this individual is editing out stories about Mr. Chopp that have been on the national news. Just because the guy is a bigot isn't a reason to take out sections. This have been changed to a political add. I wouldn't be surprise if this is out of Chopp's office.

This user is reverting to his own outrageously POV and false edits. He's calling Chopp a "developer", when in fact he's been a community organizer for thirty years, and a state legislator. He's accusing him of presiding over a "decrease" in Democrats, when in fact the state house was majority Republican when he first took office, and then was tied for a few years, when he was co-speaker with Clyde Ballard, and then gradually INCREASED to 62 Democrats. In this current session this has dropped to 61, which is not a "steady decrease". It's a huge INCREASE. Virtually everything else this user has put into the article is EXTREME POV if not an outright lie.

I recognize that Chopp has critics; that's why I included the section. But extreme-left criticism without any factual basis is contrary to Wikipedia policy. This user's edits must not be allowed to stand. 216.64.147.98 (talk) 23:12, 25 November 2009 (UTC)[reply]

Fnarf999 has requested POV assistance due to vandalism attributed to me. I'm sure I'm being confused with someone else. I only made a few changes to add a wikilink to the article about the BIAW which I have been writing, and added reference to the article. It was not my intention to step into the POV battle.
I'm happy to help on this article to work on the the POV issue. The first thing is that we need to separate fact from fiction. I have begun sorting out what sentences are referenced and which ones are not. The ones lacking a source are marked with at {{fact}} tag. If they are not properly sourced by January will be deleted. The second thing is that we need to avoid having a "controversy" section. Let's instead expand the legislative priorities section so that the issues are dealt with one by one. Then we can achieve balance in the article in each section by including what is being said with verifiable facts from both sides.  kgrr talk 06:31, 10 December 2009 (UTC)[reply]

Unascribed content[edit]

The three paragraphs on bills protecting homeowners from faulty home construction (under "Politics") are not connected in any way to Frank Chopp. Either Chopp's involvement with these bills needs to be explicitly stated or the paragraphs need to be removed as off-topic.

Selective Content[edit]

This article is severely lacking in pertinent information about Frank Chopp, and it is sadly out-of-date. It needs to be updated to reflect the current 55-43 Democratic Majority (though, with regard to the comments above, this is still a massive increase over where Democrats were when he became Leader) and to take a more comprehensive look at Chopp's record tenure. I don't understand the three silly paragraphs about home construction. It would be great if someone could write an article taking a bigger look at Chopp and his legacy.

Hatchet job[edit]
