Initial creation and link maintenance[edit]

  • Article created with 80 entries (up to 2008)
  • Medal is still extant (see Franklin Institute)
  • Layout tidied up and initial set of redlinks checked
  • Six (6) redlinks turned blue by creating redirects
  • Seventeen (17) redlinks remain, with 63 blue links
  • All blue links clicked to check correct person has been linked (will list errors below)

Other thoughts: tidying on layout still needed, possible a table is better. Any table would need to list "section" of award (e.g. Physics, Engineering, etc). And also the year, as several years have multiple awards. Need more background to the award, including who it is named after and why (Benjamin Franklin), how much money (if any) is awarded with the prize, when the award was founded, when and why it ended, and any more details out there. The result of the move request was: Move to Franklin Institute Awards as unopposed after 2 weeks and a relisting. Based on its official awards website, the name of this awards program is The Franklin Insititute Awards, including both Bower Award and Benjamin Franklin Medal.   • No "The" You are correct that the current article covers both the Franklin Medal as well as the Bower Award and the FI refers to this grouping as "The Franklin Insititute Awards".
