Notability of this person[edit]

This article was moved from draftspace in 2015 without going through the AFC process/checkup. Also, it's missing some other third-party sources verifying the notability of this person. Do these sources verify his notability? --George Ho (talk) 02:04, 14 August 2017 (UTC)[reply]

Do two other sources verify it? --George Ho (talk) 02:05, 14 August 2017 (UTC)[reply]

I dunno, those are all either passing mentions or local sources. And I don't believe there's inherent notability in founding an annual football game. Lizard (talk) 12:44, 15 August 2017 (UTC)[reply]
The best source seems to be the one already in the article, as it looks like a piece centered on him (although I can't find an archived version); but even then it's a local source (The Commercial Appeal). Lizard (talk) 12:53, 15 August 2017 (UTC)[reply]
To me, as written it doesn't look to pass notability standards. I haven't researched it.--Paul McDonald (talk) 12:49, 15 August 2017 (UTC)[reply]
@George Ho: To satisfy WP:GNG, there needs to be "significant" coverage in multiple reliable sources. The feature article cited in the article (this one from The Commercial Appeal) clearly qualifies as one such instance. If similar coverage exists in other reliable sources, then GNG would be satisfied. Cbl62 (talk) 14:46, 15 August 2017 (UTC)[reply]
