Question[edit]

How do you become a part of the Free Art License99.30.142.167 (talk) 05:04, 26 November 2009 (UTC)[reply]

Probably you should look at "user guide" at the bottom of http://artlibre.org/licence/lal/en Mike Linksvayer (talk) 03:33, 29 May 2011 (UTC)[reply]

History added, wanted[edit]

I added a history section based on the French Wikipedia article. Would love to find full text of FAL version 1.0 and any others that might exist besides 1.2 and 1.3, and announcements of 1.0 and 1.2 and any others that might exist besides 1.3. Mike Linksvayer (talk) 03:27, 29 May 2011 (UTC)[reply]

copyvio[edit]

The Free Art License 1.3 available at http://artlibre.org/licence/lal/en is published on a license allowing to make reproductions and distribute this license verbatim (without any changes). However the article is basically a copy-paste of the preamble only, thus not being an exact copy of the text and violating its license. --Lysytalk 14:26, 4 October 2011 (UTC)[reply]

Obviously it's incompatible with Wikipedia's CC-BY-SA 3.0 and the GFDL since it explicitly mentions "verbatim (without any changes)". I'm a little surprised to see that my removal of the obvious copy & paste text two years ago was later undid by another editor, and that the {{copy}} tag was later removed by a En-Wiki administrator citing this "verbatim (without any changes)" declaration. Fortunately another administrator eventually made the right decision, removing the text in January. Before editing, editors and especially administrators should get more familiar with the copyright licenses used by Wikipedia. --Tomchen1989 (talk) 19:28, 2 October 2013 (UTC)[reply]

Old links are broken[edit]

Seems like ArtLibre changed their platform to WordPress and all the citations and links to it are now broken. This also affects Template:FAL. 109.201.154.177 (talk) 15:28, 4 March 2014 (UTC)[reply]

External links modified[edit]

Hello fellow Wikipedians,

I have just added archive links to one external link on Free Art License. Please take a moment to review my edit. If necessary, add {{cbignore}} after the link to keep me from modifying it. Alternatively, you can add {{nobots|deny=InternetArchiveBot}} to keep me off the page altogether. I made the following changes:

When you have finished reviewing my changes, please set the checked parameter below to true or failed to let others know (documentation at {{Sourcecheck}}).
