No I-5 Series as of Yet[edit]

Neither the 1974 World Series (Athletics vs Dodgers), the 1988 World Series (Athletics vs Dodgers), nor the 2002 World Series (Angels vs Giants) was ever referred to as the I-5 Series. Both San Francisco and Oakland are more than an hour's drive west of Interstate 5. If and when the Los Angeles Angels or the Seattle Mariners play in the World Series against either the Los Angeles Dodgers or the San Diego Padres, the I-5 Series moniker would apply. Hallway Series?[edit]

When there was a possibility that the Lakers were going to meet the Clippers in the NBA playoffs, ABC/ESPN and the LA Times referred to it as the possible "Hallway Series." (because they both play in the Staples Center. I am new to LA, is this something that it is normally called? -- Mike Bietz — Preceding unsigned comment added by 24.126.115.180 (talkcontribs) 07:28, 12 September 2006 (UTC)[reply]

2002 World Series[edit]

Do you think the 2002 World Series was a moment of peace in the rivalry between the Dodgers and Angels, because the Angels played the San Francisco Giants and Dodgers fans rooted for the Angels. I think so. -- SNIyer12, (talk), 18:12 29 August 2010 (UTC)
