French citizens in Belgium[edit]

French citizens in Belgium, including dual citizens (like myself), form one of the the most numerous French diaspora community in Europe according to official data: 123,000 in 2006, not including more than 25,000 dual citizens, the total could rise to 190,000, including a lot of unregistered dual citizens and other categories (La communauté française dans la circonscription de Bruxelles, Belgique). Several Belgian politicians have the dual citizenship, some were even candidates to the Assemblée des Français de l'étranger (see http://tractotheque.blogspot.com/search/label/AFE%202006). French diaspora[edit]

I wanted to know why you decided to remove what I added even with the sources, I don’t know if you took time in reading what the sources actually said. I’m not trying to fool anyone here but just the truth based on sources and what I saw, this is Wikipedia no? Johnlondon20 (talk) 21:44, 17 June 2020 (UTC)[reply]

Mistakes with Spain and Italy[edit]

The category "French of Italy" includes the Aostans, Piedmontese, Ligurian, Lombard and Sardinian Catalans peoples and the category "French in Spain" includes the Basques and the Catalans of Spain, but the numbers are only 0,5% and 0,1%. These peoples make far more than 0,5% and 0,1% of the population of their respective countries. CampagnardDeter (talk) 11:07, 2 November 2020 (UTC)[reply]

I spotted a problem with "Frenchs of Spain" as well. I went to history and spotted the change as being done on July 18th 2020 by, wait for it, anonymous user with some IP and no comment. It looks like vandalism to me. I am a French national living in Spain, I know about Basques and Catalans, and both links are clearly not what should be linked to; in reality there are persons of French origin in every part of Spain; as well as there are people identifying themselves as Basques or Catalans living in France (i.e., the opposite of the matter at hand.) This is before we even considered the not sourced number and the very gross computation mistake. I decided to remove the whole entry of the table. If someone wants to bring it back, please source the number, and link to something meaningful. AntoineL (talk) 18:10, 22 July 2021 (UTC)[reply]
