Why is only Fedorov-Davydov mentioned in the lead? I would recommend mentioning the opinions of the other critics as well.
Added the opinion of Mikhail Nesterov as well. Other critics' opinions are similar to Nesterov and Federov- Davydov's, so including all of them would not add much value to the lead. — Goldencall me maybe?
Isaac Levitan and Volga should be linked at first mention in the body.
"Volga is part of Levitan's series of joyous works depicting nature made between 1895 and 1897" → " Volga is part of a series of joyous works depicting nature that Levitan made between 1895 and 1897"
"Mikhail Morozov, the painting's first owner, died in 1903. Morozov's widow Margarita Morozova transferred part of his collection to the Tretyakov Gallery seven years later, in 1910, in accordance with his will." → "Morozov died in 1903. Morozov's widow Margarita Morozova transferred part of his collection, including Fresh Wind. Volga, to the Tretyakov Gallery seven years later, in 1910, in accordance with his will."
"Aside from Fresh Wind. Volga...Vasily Surikov's sketch of Boyarina Morozova's head" → This whole part can be removed since it doesn't really concern this painting.
Will check the references later. AryKun (talk) 13:14, 12 May 2022 (UTC)[reply]
The references all seem to be reliable (all published books and also used in the Russian article, which is a GA) and are consistently formatted.
Spot-checks on a couple of the claims made by the English language sources support the claims made. Can't check Russian-language sources, so AGFing on those.
Could you provide page numbers for the Fedorov-Davydov 2019 reference?
I'd like to, but the only place where I can get access to the book is through Google Books, which doesn't display any page numbers for this book. (link) — Goldencall me maybe?
Not needed at GA, but consider adding alt text for images. AryKun (talk) 14:22, 12 May 2022 (UTC)[reply]
