The figure of the STEM picture (http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/File:LDOS_image_showing_friedel_oscillation.jpg) has an illegible scale bar. The scale is important, especially considering that wavelength vs energy is the main point of the figure. Scale information should be added.

Need to clarify conclusion of Scattering Description[edit]

The conclusion of the main section of this article includes the equation $\rho (\mathbf {r} )=\rho _{0}+\delta n{\frac {\cos(2k_{F}|\mathbf {r} |+\delta )}{|\mathbf {r} |}}$ but little attempt to unpack the meaning is made.
