  • ... that the name of the Japanese band Friends was inspired by the name of a pub?
    • ALT1: ... that the leader of the Japanese band Friends was chosen via a game of Uno? Source: [2] ("おかもと:まずはフレンズのリーダー、涼平さん。SEKIGUCHI LOUIE(以下、SEKIGUCHI):リーダーっていうのはUNOで決まりました(笑)。")

  • Comment: Regarding ALT1, according to the Japanese Wikipedia article, the leader (Ryōhei Nagashima) was chosen after he lost a game of Uno, though unfortunately I couldn't find a source explicitly saying that he lost the game, only that they played it. Shame, because including him losing would have probably added some fun to the hook.

  • Hi Narutolovehinata5, review follows: article created and nominated on 2 December; exceeds minimum length; is cited inline throughout to what appear to be reliables sources (most are Japanese so I have to presume on a lot of them, the tweet appears to be acceptable from a WP:ABOUTSELF standpoint); AGF that there is no copyright violation from the Japanese sources, there isn't any issue with the sole English language source; hooks are interesting and mentioned in the article; a QPQ has been carried out. I just have a couple of minor isses:
  • Your lead states that they are signed to Sony Music and formed in Tokyo but this is not mentioned in the main text or cited.
  • The lead states "Hirose Hirose and Emi Okamoto made a collaboration, which caught the attention of bassist Ryōhei Nagashima, who suggested that they form a band" but the main text says that the first two invited Nagashima to join the band"
Once resolved I will have no issue approving this - Dumelow (talk) 11:03, 18 December 2021 (UTC)[reply]
Thanks for the review! Really sorry for the late reply as I've been a bit too busy to address the issues at the moment. I'll try to address them by tomorrow. Narutolovehinata5 (talk · contributions) 12:28, 20 December 2021 (UTC)[reply]
@Dumelow: I've addressed the concerns you raised above. As for the collaboration thing, I think what happened was that Hirose and Okamoto did a collaboration (a temporary band) and it was Nagashima who encouraged them to make the band permanent (from what I read in the sources), but I guess I worded it poorly.
