when his anti-Semitic past became known?[edit]

Says who? It isn't mentioned elsewhere in the article and I've never heard about it before, nor does Schäffer seem to have been attacked by the later GDR for anti-Semitism (and they would have if they could have). --131.159.76.228 (talk) 18:16, 21 March 2018 (UTC)[reply]

Correction, it is mentioned, though in the context it would be interesting to know precisely how anti-Semitic these speeches were, and where the source for that is. (German sources by the way usually only mention a less than eager attitude towards denazification, which in itself could well have been enough for Eisenhower. And, again, even the GDR does not seem to have thundered against Schäffer for anti-Semitism.)--131.159.76.228 (talk) 18:20, 21 March 2018 (UTC)[reply]
