Front or Back Facing?[edit]

On a dedicated camera (non-digital), is the camera front facing or rear facing? If the phone is digital, is it front facing or rear facing? If it is an Android powered digital camera (not a phone or tablet but dedicated android powered camera), is it front facing or rear facing? Now... add phone capability... does somehow the front swap around? Why is it the front no longer is what faces forward? Is which one is the front based on the 'purpose' of the device? Is a watch with a camera on the strap front facing or rear facing when it faces forwards? When I put an android powered carputer on the dash, does the front facing camera face backwards or forwards? For example: The Samsung TL225 and TL220 the camera is Front-Facing and faces foward as you would expect, however the Samsung Galaxy Note 4 the Front-Facing camera is facing backwards and the non-Front-Facing camera is facing forward. Does that make sense?
