Merge Barani into Frontflip[edit]

I propose that Barani should be merged with Frontflip. It was originally proposed that Barani be merge with somersault. A somersault is used to describe generic acrobatic moves. While a barani is closely tied to a frontflip because the execution and setup are very similar. Because of this, it seems to me that it would make more sense to merge it with Frontflip. There is already a small section about the barani on the frontflip page that could be expanded by the information on this article. Any thoughts? (Guyinblack25 17:57, 26 March 2007 (UTC))[reply]

It appears it has been merged. RJFJR 00:55, 21 July 2007 (UTC)[reply]

Front flip versus frontflip[edit]

The article uses 'front flip', yet it's named without the space. Can we get some consistancy here please? Also, some of the moves use the space, some don't. This needs to be made uniform. They look like two words to me not one. Tyciol (talk) 05:57, 16 July 2008 (UTC)[reply]

I agree. I moved the article here and frontflip now redirects here. Lambtron (talk) 00:01, 15 October 2009 (UTC)[reply]

Merge discussion[edit]

I hereby propose that front flip and back flip be merged into a new article: flip (acrobatic). Both articles cover the same topic; only the direction of rotation differs. Furthermore, many flips do not clearly belong in one article or the other as body orientation may change during a flip (i.e., if a flip begins in a forward/backward direction but transitions to a backward/forward direction during execution, is it a forward or backward flip?). No one has expressed opposition, so I merged this article into Flip (acrobatic). Lambtron (talk) 21:01, 2 November 2009 (UTC)[reply]
