Racist[edit]

People reading the article wouldn't have known that Fu Yi was in fact essentially a racist who described foreigners in a derogatory manner and his rhetoric against Buddhism was in part a diatribe against foreigners, for example "在西域胡人因泥而生,是以便事泥瓦塔像,今猶毛臊,人麵而獸心,道人土梟驢騾四色,皆是貪逆之惡種。佛是妖魅之氣,寺是淫邪之祀。" [1] (foreigners/barbarians are born out of mud... stink of fur... with heart of beasts, etc.) Hzh (talk) 14:59, 12 December 2013 (UTC)[reply]

The correct term for bias against foreigners is xenophobia, not racism; the Chinese had long had derogatory names and descriptions for foreigners, Fu Yi is not special in that regard. Lathdrinor (talk) 18:55, 4 February 2014 (UTC)[reply]
