Many, many assumptions attributed to reference[edit]

From the article, "People who like contemporary NASCAR racing are avid fans of technology; they are curious about how fuel injection affects the outcome of a typical NASCAR race. However, they must also placate the "traditional" NASCAR fan who has been watching NASCAR before the 1980s when the rear-wheel drive vehicle with a carburetor and manual transmission were still the majority of vehicles sold at a typical American car dealership.[2]"

Nothing from the referenced article distinguishes "traditional" from "contemporary" fans, or about how fans are curious about how fuel injection would affect the outcome of a typical race. Nothing in the reference points to placating traditional fans, "before the 1980s." In the 1970s, most cars sold in in US dealerships were not manual transmission cars. Simply not factual. It's like this Wikipage was written by someone who dropped out of high school. You can't just assume everything and put all anecdotal knowledge down as gospel.
