Picture of disk enclosure?[edit]

In the External links, would this more properly be called the HDA (Head Disk Assembly)? Or was that a term specific to DEC's RA-8x series? -- RoySmith (talk) 21:12, 23 November 2010 (UTC)[reply]

Reliability[edit]

I can't provide a source, but back in the day the Fujitsu Eagle had a reputation for being less prone to head crashes than comparable DEC disk drives, to the extent that so many VAXen were equipped with Eagles that DEC offered service contracts for them.Bill (talk) 06:40, 2 January 2016 (UTC)[reply]
