Voting System[edit]

It seems like they changed the voting system where it is just a percentage thing now, and they got rid of the labels. I will change the article to reflect that. If I am wrong please put it back. Chipotlehero (talk) 04:48, 4 March 2009 (UTC)[reply]

Title[edit]

This page should be titled "Funny or Die" - it's not one word, per the website. —Preceding unsigned comment added by 24.17.211.8 (talkcontribs)

Agreed. Move done. -- MisterHand 21:42, 26 April 2007 (UTC)[reply]

Celebrity Appearances[edit]

I added this section so feel free to add to it. —Preceding unsigned comment added by Nign0g1 (talk) 08:25, 16 June 2007 (UTC)[reply]

-why is Kristen Bell not listed. She has been in atleast 2 videos on the site. —Preceding unsigned comment added by 71.226.205.116 (talk) 05:48, 17 February 2009 (UTC)[reply]

List of celebrities[edit]

I've removed the list. It was WP:INDISCRIMINATE: it could go on forever, and it was a link farm, which we are not. For instance, we don't have a list of all the celebrities on YouTube. If some of the videos have received extensive media coverage, we can add them back in on that basis, but only those ones. hbdragon88 (talk) 06:30, 25 April 2009 (UTC)[reply]

And I've removed the list again. The argument for re-adding it was that "this is a comprehensive list that is used for reference", but - per WP:INDISCRIMINATE and WP:NOTLINK - "long and sprawling lists of statistics may be confusing to readers and reduce the readability and neatness of our articles" and "excessive lists [of links] can dwarf articles and detract from the purpose of Wikipedia".
The reader shouldn't have to scan through a list of 75 celebrities (and watch a few videos) to draw their own conclusions about the nature of celebrity appearances on the website; it'd be much more useful to pick out five or six particularly good examples, and present them in some sort of context. --McGeddon (talk) 13:24, 24 June 2009 (UTC)[reply]

Just added an advert template[edit]

It's not egregious, but some of the phrasing is definitely "adverty", starting with "Funny or Die is unique in that it contains a good deal of exclusive material..." etc. —Preceding unsigned comment added by 63.249.114.163 (talk) 00:17, 27 May 2010 (UTC)[reply]

On second look, I probably overreacted. Away it goes... —Preceding unsigned comment added by 63.249.114.163 (talk) 19:49, 28 May 2010 (UTC)[reply]

Hot or Not[edit]

Why not a word about site's idea relationship with Hot or Not and YouTube? — Preceding unsigned comment added by 62.221.56.166 (talk) 08:36, 8 May 2012 (UTC)[reply]

[edit]

Just changed the image page from funny or die to the recent one as seen on the website. For some reason it's a bit squashed and can somebody help me get this correctly? JacksonsSun (talk) 11:18, 5 February 2014 (UTC)[reply]

Proposed merge with HUVr[edit]

This hoax company probably isn't notable on its own. It might be notable within the context of its creators if it got any media attention. Was this the case, or was the whole thing just another one-shot joke? §everal⇒|Times 20:01, 5 March 2014 (UTC)[reply]

The article on hoverboard actually covers the whole topic pretty well. Perhaps it could be merged into that article instead? --JABurlock (talk) 01:27, 7 March 2014 (UTC)[reply]

Keep. The company isn't notable, but the hoax clearly is. Juneau Mike (talk) 17:00, 13 March 2014 (UTC)[reply]
Worth considering: Consider renaming it HUVr Hoax... Juneau Mike (talk) 17:01, 13 March 2014 (UTC)[reply]
In my opinion, the Huvr page should be left alone until the supposed Dec release date has passed. I for one am not convinced the Huvr is a hoax. Also the website should be added as a reference.
  • Merge to Funny or Die. Just leave a redirect for that page after the merge. It should make for a better FOD article, with anyone seeking info on HUVr via a Wikipedia search finding the same material there. Carrite (talk) 15:14, 22 April 2014 (UTC)[reply]
Agree, merge ‘HUVr’ article into ‘Funny or Die’ article. 88.104.105.206 (talk) 15:57, 19 May 2014 (UTC)[reply]

Political activism - Prop 8 the Musical[edit]

The subsection Prop 8 the Musical doesn't say anything about the legislation. It appears to repeat information regarding the FreeShez campaign that's mentioned at the top of the Political Activism section.

Does anyone know what the information was or how to retrieve it? Kirby777 (talk) 19:31, 10 July 2023 (UTC)[reply]
