Death Valley Flying School[edit]

My father, Ragnar Albrektson, started a flying school here for basic aviation training in 1941 (I think). After Pearl Harbor, there was such a fear of a Japanese invasion, that the AAC bought the nearly-new Luscombes, and bulldozed them flat and buried them. I would dearly love to know more about this.
