Istvan Vago[edit]

A Hungarian journalist, István Vágó mentioned on the facebook the curious fact that the claimed Azerbaijan root of Kubatov is mentioned in the english Russian, and Azeri Wikipedia but not in the Hungarian. Immediately after that he received a letter from Mr. Kubatov's lawyer asking him to immediately remove the post, as it contained false information on Mr Kubatov. — Preceding unsigned comment added by 193.224.79.1 (talk) 15:17, 14 July 2016 (UTC)[reply]

Origin[edit]

@Noel baran:,

thank you for your message on my talk page. My concern is I did not found anything else in the Hungarian press, but it is openly known by a famous case that Kubatov openly claimed/recognized a Bunjevci origin on the paternal side^[1]. So I'll involve Wikiproject Hungary, hopefully someone may as well add some information, let's make a wise decision...Thank You(KIENGIR (talk) 19:04, 31 July 2019 (UTC))[reply]

It does not matter, we need evidence, biography of living persons should be cared with extra attention. These sources are better non-expert, sport entertainment, with a few images. We have domestic sources in which he clearls states what he is or he is not, see above.(KIENGIR (talk) 11:45, 21 March 2021 (UTC))[reply]
